Why I Started Jikiden Reiki Therapy
I am Reiko, a therapist.
I debuted as an aroma therapist at 24,
and at 30, I began my career as an Ayurveda therapist,
which will soon span 15 years.
As a body therapist, I fell in love with Ayurvedic oils,
studied herbal formulation in South India, and have been running
my own private salon in Japan ever since.
Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the opportunity
to encounter biodynamic farming—one of the fields of Rudolf Steiner education.
While deeply exploring spiritual science, I learned about Jikiden Reiki therapy.
Finding that it provided effects equivalent to Ayurvedic herbal oils,
I mastered distance healing and habit-correction methods as well,
and I now offer sessions in Japan that fuse Ayurveda with Jikiden Reiki therapy.
Ayurveda is recognized as a form of alternative therapy and is the
world's oldest traditional medicine; however, Jikiden Reiki is also
a field incorporated as an alternative therapy, which I have learned—and
felt through my own personal experience—to be highly effective in
enhancing self-healing power without relying on medication.
It is said that this was originally a form of home remedy.
When a family member is feeling unwell or needs healing
for their mind and body, you can send universal energy
simply by laying on hands, without using any tools at all.
It is a "laying-on-of-hands" therapy, but it does more than just
alleviate physical and mental distress and pain; it can leave the body feeling lighter,
correct your posture so that your feet plant firmly on the floor
without wobbling, and personally, I have seen my skin's texture regain moisture,
my complexion improve, and my body fat regain a feminine softness.
I would like to write about the specific reasons why I decided
to master Jikiden Reiki therapy in a future blog post,
but one reason was the hope of being able to help those who, like my mother,
have disabilities such as hemiplegia or mobility issues,
or those for whom oil care is difficult.
Those providing care also face the burden of sleep deprivation and fatigue.
I wanted to be able to help my sister with her own self-maintenance as well.
My empathetic constitution is something only my closest friends and
my salon clients can truly understand, but it is a nature where, without a word being spoken,
I can absorb someone else’s ailments, pain, and in some cases, even their
eating habits or sleep rhythms.
On rare occasions, my clairvoyance manifests, so through my treatments,
I also share insights or necessary information beyond physical care
with those who need it.
There are many things I cannot speak of here,
but since beginning Ayurveda, there have been many people who
have helped me bloom and realize my own abilities.
As a lightworker, I hope to continue supporting my clients in unlocking
their own dormant abilities and talents, helping them lead lives that are,
if only a little, more enriched, while continuing to integrate Ayurveda
and Jikiden Reiki, even when I become an old grandmother.
